Erin Capistrano is an actor, dramaturg, costume designer and teacher living in Brooklyn. As a co-founder of the Brooklyn-based Old Hat Theatre Company, she helps to develop productions of classical works as well as devised pieces based on novels and short stories. She has worked as an actor and designer with Old Hat and other companies in New York and London.
Erin graduated from Yale University with a BA in English and Theater Studies. She received her M.A. in Shakespeare Studies from King’s College, London, where she wrote her dissertation on gender and the law in the plays of Shakespeare and Webster.
