Greg Parente is an award-winning educator, actor, and director, who has been at the core of PPAS’s acting faculty for both the Drama and Musical Theatre programs since 2002. As an educator, the core of Greg’s teaching philosophy is to use dramatic literature and acting to illuminate the many facets of the human condition, always pushing his students towards truth and excellence.  As a director at PPAS, Greg has directed productions of A View from the Bridge, The Story, Our Town, DNA, Good People, Emotional Creature, A Lie of the Mind, The Exonerated, Blood at the Root, and a film version of Carly Churchills’ Love & Information.  Greg has an MFA in Acting from the FSU/Asolo Conservatory, and he is a proud father of two boys, Emile and Matis.
