Current 8th graders: we will be holding Round 1 auditions remotely and Round 2 auditions in person for placement in the Waterwell Drama Program at the Professional Performing Arts School (PPAS) for the 2023-2024 academic year.
To be considered, please note the following steps and deadlines:
Step 1All current 8th grade students must list PPAS Drama on their High School Ranking Sheet on MySchools no later than Tuesday, December 1st.
Step 2In place of an in-person audition, all students must submit two contrasting, one-minute monologues to the DOE’s Virtual Audition Submission tool by Wednesday, December 9th. Examples of contrasting monologues include: dramatic/comedic, classical/contemporary, published/original, or theater/film.
Step 3Notifications for students invited back for Round 2 will be sent by late December, and in-person callbacks will take place Saturday, Jan 21 from 9:00am-7:00pm. Students invited to callbacks will not need to prepare any new material.
